We use ' used to ' if we talk about something that we did in the past but we don't do now. It always refers to the past.
It means : be accustomed

I played on guitar in the past but now I don't play on musical instruments.
- Margaret didn't use to live in New York because of noise but now she has already become accustomed it.
- Did you use to run on Saturday morning?
- Didn't she use to cook in that kitchen?
