English Grammar differences - During / Since / For

It is used before a noun to say when something happens. But we don't know how long it happened.

- During my trip to Thailand I learned the Thai box movement.
- She will learn in England during the summer.


To precise the beginning of a period of time

- Since the British invasion in the 18th century, the country's economy accelerated.
- We didn't see each other since 1999. 


Talk about how long something last

- For a few years people travel more than in the 80's.
